These AI Terms explain how CharlieTalk uses artificial intelligence ("AI") on the Platform. They're incorporated into our Terms of Service — capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given there.

1. Our AI Features

CharlieTalk may offer AI-powered features, including:

• Tutor matching and recommendations — suggesting Tutors based on your goals, level, and preferences;
• Lesson summaries — generating recaps of what was covered in a lesson;
• Pronunciation and speaking feedback — analyzing your speech during a lesson to offer feedback;
• Level estimation — assessing your language level from placement answers or lesson activity.

2. Accuracy and Limitations

AI output isn't perfect. Summaries, feedback, and level estimates may be incomplete or inaccurate, and shouldn't be treated as a substitute for your Tutor's judgment. Use your own discretion before relying on any AI-generated content, and let us know if something looks off.

3. Your Consent and Controls

Features that analyze lesson audio or content (like pronunciation feedback or lesson summaries) only run with your consent. You can turn these off anytime in Settings > Privacy. Turning a feature off may limit related functionality but won't affect your ability to use the rest of the Platform.

4. How We Use Your Data for AI

Where you've given consent, we may process lesson recordings, transcripts, and your responses to generate the features above. This data is handled per our Privacy Policy and isn't used to identify you personally beyond what's needed to deliver the feature.

5. Responsible Use

When using AI features, please:

• Provide accurate information so the AI can work properly;
• Use your own judgment rather than treating AI output as definitive; and
• Avoid presenting AI-generated content as entirely human-made when sharing it elsewhere.

6. Changes

We may update these AI Terms as our features evolve. We'll notify you of material changes through the Platform or by email.
